ABOUT US

Transport Infrastructure Advisory Group is a network of volunteers with long term experience of working in various areas of transport infrastructure who are willing to share their expertise.  


The network of experts covers a wide range of expertise in infrastructure for all modes of transport — railways, roads, mass transit, air, maritime and even including non-conventional modes.


TIAG is based on the voluntary commitments of partners willing to contribute in return for mutual benefit from networking. It is to be formed by group of volunteers and self-managed by partners who declared a wish to join the network.


Objectives & purpose


TIAG is set up to fill in a niche in the need for communicating and networking of transport infrastructure experts in particular multidisciplinary and cross-border and cutting edge areas of various mode of transport.


The objective is:

  • To set up a network of volunteers from the wide spectrum of transport infrastructure who will be willing to communicate and exchange information
     

  • To set up virtual working teams for topics of common interests confirmed by at least six members from three countries
     

  • To perform the agreed tasks by virtual working teams by modern and advanced communication means
     

  • To offer the services for governmental and non-governmental transport infrastructure providers as well as for private owners of the infrastructure and financial institutions investing into the existing and new transport infrastructure
     

  • To perform studies at the request of the above bodies on the agreed terms by TIAG partners having the required expertise and willing to join the team for performing these studies.


Principle of the operation


TIAG shall operate on the principle of voluntary partnership. Any individual from infrastructure providers, private transport infrastructure, and the construction sector can apply for partnership. It can be done by sending an email to the founding members with an attached short CV. The founding members will keep the list of partners update.


It is expected to be self-managed by the dedicated partners of the network with no fees assuming voluntary in-kind commitments of the partners to the commonly agreed task to be performed either for their mutual benefit or for third parties. It will be mainly performed by using modern and advanced technology (webinars / webex / skype etc.) where information will be gathered, processed and discussed. At the initiation phase website and working platform shall set up by founding members of TIAG at no cost.


There may be physical meetings for performing the tasks and organizing workshops /conferences on topics selected by the network partners as described above with in-kind contributions and/or an agreed mode of self-financing.

 

The tasks performed at the request of third parties shall be performed by TIAG teams on contractual basis. At the explicit wish of the partners an annual gathering can be organized to meet and be combineer it with some leisure activities during the weekend.
