The investment into transport infrastructure is vital for national economies, they are a driving force for growth and prosperity of industry. Despite of all the importance, however, many countries have experienced limits for investing in infrastructure depending on available public funds and private capital willing to invest into transport infrastructure. Obviously, it leads to the prioritisation of funding and on discretionary allocation to infrastructure projects based on multidisciplinary criteria including social, environmental, economic, and other aspects for decision making. It is very often a complex process but socio-economic return on investments and cost-efficiency of the projects are still decisive especially for the private sector to consider projects “bankable” for releasing funds to transport infrastructure.

The available public funds are managed by public authorities responsible for its efficient use and hence for decision making in their allocation also for transport infrastructure projects. For this purpose, they have either their own resources or are calling for expertise with knowledge required for defining the priorities and selection of vital projects.  There are many renowned institutions and reputed specialists on the market whom they may call upon to assist and back up decision making.

Certainly, with our select few resources we are not in competition with larger advisory firms and it is also not our ambition in the future. Our objective is to contribute with our knowledge and experience in a high-level, fully independent fashion to those players who have intention to invest to transport infrastructure and seek a trusted advisor, especially in the private sector. We have long term experience in working both in public and private sector on many aspects of efficiency in investing to infrastructure and its maintenance and also numerous contacts to governmental and other international bodies where members of our network have been previously active or provided external services. From the members of the network and our long-term relations with experts in many countries in Europe and worldwide we can build a team for providing senior advice in investing into transport infrastructure and valuable services especially for private sector for decision-making either in the acquisition of the transport infrastructure or entering private public partnerships.

Another issue closely linked to infrastructure funding is procurement starting from drafting and issuing tender, evaluations of offers and selection of bodies for performing the works on projects of any types such as for construction, renewal and maintenance of infrastructure,  turnkey transport infrastructure projects, build, operate and maintain schemes in private public partnership, etc.. Here again we can offer our service in advising the tendering bodies and assessment of offers with team of independent experts not linked to any institutions based on network membership and our contacts. In this context and as part of our network, we can also draw on highly experienced legal advice from a senior counsel with many years of hands-on practice in one of the largest European construction and infrastructure PPP – conglomerates.

From our deep involvement in rail sector we are aware of the magnitude of the annual investments into infrastructure and potential savings which may be achieved in optimising the supply chain starting from design to deployment and we would be pleased to provide advice to both topics - transport infrastructure funding and procurement in principle through references to potential solutions. We also offer professional services by assisting in procurement and by an independent advice on funding/acquisition of transport infrastructure by private sector.
