Market Strategies for TRACK MAINTENANCE & RENEWAL

This report describes the outcome of joint studies performed with the involvement of broad range of experts from Infrastructure managers and contractors from 16 European countries. 

Decision making criteria used by Infrastructure Managers have been assessed with relevance to cost efficiency of works either for outsourcing or in house performance, the importance of behaviours in the IM/Contractors relationship was explore to identify value added and value destroying behaviours and finally examples of good practice in the area of market strategies presented. 

Even though performed for specific framework of works in track renewal and maintenance the outcome of study would be certainly of value for market strategies to be adopted in other modes and types of renewal and maintenance works for transport infrastructure.
